Exhibitions
The hotel's art gallery hosts art exhibitions featuring various international artists. The current exhibition showcases the works of the French painter Gisèle Reisser. The artist's techniques stem from research conducted after visiting multiple European museums. Gisèle honed his technique by studying for five years with master Enzo Neri of Livorno, who revealed some of the secrets of numerous known techniques. The artist began his painting career with figurative art, then transitioned to conceptual art, and soon began experimenting with Jet Art, as evidenced in the series "Signs and Dreams." After several stays and seminars in Cyprus, Gisèle succeeded in delving into meditative art, representing the pinnacle of his painting. For Gisèle, art is an excellent work of attention, observation, and inspiration. He intends to let colors emerge by closing one's eyes, feeling the smells of nature, focusing on the present moment, fixing it in the mind and memory, and reproducing and conveying it to the viewer with elegance and passion. This is precisely the essence of meditative art.
The exhibition comprises three main series: volcanoes, waves, signs and dreams. Each series presents the artist's soul through the memory of his personal experiences. For example, the series "Volcanoes" was inspired by Gisèle's life experience, recalling when he lived under Etna.
"Desert Wind" is created using a purely material technique. The relief in the background of the painting is achieved by the application of sand from different parts of the world that the artist explored during his travels. Instead of purchasing souvenirs, Gisèle preferred to bring home something that captured the essence of the places he visited. These sands come from the Sahara desert, Libya, and Etna.
